Club Volleyball provides opportunity for local youth (ages 12 through 18) to play volleyball outside of school. Also, we offer a Youth Development Program providing training and competition for local youth ages 8 - 12 years of age. Teams are formed in the fall in October and November. Practices will be twice a week starting in December and Tournaments start late December/early January to March/April with some teams qualifying for Nationals. Club Volleyball offers year-round training with Camps/Clinics - Private Lessons.
With the increase interest in volleyball at younger ages, we believe that playing club with extra practices and skill training will give your daughter/son an edge in High School and Collegiate aspirations. By no means, does your player have to have collegiate or high school aspirations, by playing club ball it gives them a way to improve your individual skills and a sense of team focus. Please remember that club volleyball requires a major commitment from both player and parent.
Acadian Juniors requires that all players tryout in their predetermined age group per the USAV Age Definition Chart. If she falls in between the USAV Birthdate and the school age, she can tryout in both age groups. Team placement will be determined by coaches at tryouts.

How long is club season - Practices start in December and Tournaments start in January. Club Season last approximately till March/April with some teams that qualify for Nationals which season will end in June/July.
Teams will consist of 9 - 11 players. Teams are kept small in order to amplify their skill sets in every player. Our coaches will select teams that are based on skill level, and/or team positions on the court (Setters - MB/OH - Libero/DS, etc. and communication). We assign players within teams that they will have the best chance of individual/team success.
Opportunities for playing time at tournaments will always be given at practice where most of the athletes' learning is taking place. Everyone on the team will not have equal playing time. Playing time will be earned and will be the discretion of the coach. Playing time is also evaluated by the commitment of the player, if too many practices are missed, this may lead to less playing time in tournaments.
If there is a question on playing time, please contact Keith Leon our Asst. Director & Communications Coordinator. You are always welcomed to discuss issues with the Club Director, also. We will set up a time to meet after the tournament and can setup an appt with the team coach.
